Tufted annual herb ; up to 5cm . Stems branched , ascending , thick and succulent , arising from a tuberous root . Leaves whorled , eseeile , glabrous , apex acute , margins often in-rolled , dense tufts of ehite hairs present in leaf axils . Flowers sessile , in fre-flowered terminal clusters , pale yellow . Fruit capsule , ovoid-conical . Seed reniform , dark brown , tuberculate .
