Small , evergreen perennial ; up to 30 cm high , dense cushion-forming . Stems erect to ascending or decumbent , pubescent , somewhat woody at the base . Leaves oblanceolate to spatulate , base tapering into a winged petiole , obtuse at apex , sinuate-dentate at margin , white underneath , yellow-green above , with a district white coating on leaves , emitting an odour when crushed , nerves distinct beneath . Inflorescences in dense clusters at the end of the stalks . Flowers sweet scented , yellow ; calyx tubular , 5-lobed ; corolla tubular , 5-lobed above . Fruit capsule , ovate , brown .
