Ochradenus aucheri (Boiss.) S.Blanco & C.E.Wetzel

This species is native to Arabian Peninsula, extending to S & E Iran and SW Pakistan. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 5 species of Ochradenus found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual or biennial woody herb or slender shrub ; up to 1 m tall , with straight ascending branches . Stems yellow-green , leafless , glabrous throughout . Leaves 1-5 cm , linear , falling soon . Inflorescences racemes with distant flowers , 10-30 cm long . Flowers bisexual , yellow ; sepals 6 , obovate ; petals lanceolate , with 1-2 basal teeth ; disc single or double , flat or cup-shaped ; stamens 28-80 . Fruit capsule , 10 x 7 mm , subglobose , leathery , erect , inflated , yellowish brown . Seeds 1 . 5-1 . 8 x 1-1 . 4 mm , glossy , smooth , pale brown to black . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
