Leaves 1-10 x 1-4 cm , alternate , slightly fleshy , narrowly obovate or ovate to broadly ovate , apex acute , with wavy margins . Inflorescences in dense conical spikes . Flowers (6-)7(-8)-merous , small , white/cream ; petals cream or yellow , unequal ; stamens 12 or more . Fruit capsule , erect , ovoid , narrow at the apex with three teeth at the top . Seeds 0 . 6-0 . 8 x c . 0 . 5 mm , minute , dark brown , smooth , shiny . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .

الاستخدامات


Known as a good browse for goats after the rainy season. Herders claimed that goats that grazed on this plant produce a flavoury limony tasted milk. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).
