Leaves 5-15 x 1-3 cm , oblanceolate to narrowly oblong , tip acuminate , margin glandular-serrate , glabrescent , pinnately veined . Inflorescences solitary , rarely paired , subsessile , usually appearing before the leaves . Flowers 10-15 mm , deep pink . Fruit drupe , 4-8 cm , globose , yellow or pale green , velutinous ; flesh yellow or whitish , delicate aroma ; stone deeply furrowed and pitted .
