Leaves in whorls of 6–8 , 10–25 , oblanceolate , base cuneate , apex mucronate , margins and surfaces with retrorse prickles . Flowers minute , in axillary and terminal lax cymes ; corolla white or greenish . Fruit with 2 mericarps , subglobose densely covered with hooked hairs .
