Leaves 5–17 , linear to oblanceolate , base cuneate , apex acute , margins entire with prickles along the edges and midrib . Flowers minute , in axillary cymes ; corolla white , 4-lobed . Fruit mericarps , globose , tuberculate , reflexed when mature .
