Leaves in pseudowhorls of up to 6 on contracted short shoots , fleshy , 3–10 , linear to narrowly oblanceolate , tapering at base , apex obtuse , margins entire , glabrous to densely pubescent ; stipules forming a sheath . Flowers solitary , on lateral and main stems ; corolla funnel-shaped , white , 5-lobed , glabrous or sparsely puberulous near the top . Fruit mericarps .
