Vigorous shrub or small tree , up to 3 m high , with stout spines . Stems with irregular straggling branches and stiff twigs . Leaves simple or rarely 1-foliolate , pale green , lemon-scented , ovate-lanceolate or ovate elliptic , serrate margins , rounded apex , obtuse , or rarely mucronate , petiolate . Inflorescences of axillary few-flowered racemes or solitary . Flowers bisexual , white-yellowish or purplish tinted , star-shaped ; petals 7 , narrow , linear ; stamens long , white . Fruits large , oval or oblong ; peel thick , yellow and very fragrant ; pulp sour . Seeds white with dark innercoats . (Ref . https://en . wikipedia . org) .
