Annual herb , often with a woody stock ; up to 30cm . Branches yellow-green , prostrate , white-pubescent to villous . Leaves paripinnate , often anisophyllous ; leaflets lanceolate to elliptic , base unequal , acute , pubescent to villous , grey-green . Flowers solitary in the axil of the smaller leaf ; petals yellow . Fruit pyriform , with mericarps , pubescent to villous , tuberculate , without spines or with 2 small spines on the dorsal surface .
