Perennial succulent herb ; up to 30 cm high , glaucous . Stems and branches prostrate . Leaves 2-foliolate , succulent , glabrous ; leaflets 5-12 x 4-10 mm , obovate , base tapering , apex rounded , glabrous ; stipules ± 2 mm , membranous ; petiole 4-8 mm . Inflorescences solitary , in lin the axils of leaves ; pedicel 3-4 mm . Flowers ± 5 mm across , white ; sepals 2-3 mm , oblong , glabrous , greenish yellow ; petals oblong to obovate , about one and a half times as long as the sepals ; stamens with a scale-like appendage at the base ; ovary glabrous ; style c . 2 mm long . Fruit capsule , 3-5 mm , obconical , obscurely 5-angled , flattened at apex , speticidally dehiscent , becoming yellow to brownish yellow at maturity . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
